This reader thoroughly enjoyed the author's inclusion of his daughter's own diary of her father, the eminent Mark Twain. Fascinating insights from a young girl. Twain's revealing story of an evening with the German Chancellor of the time, and Twain's frustrations over his inability to break a strong social pattern of a guest being subservient to his host was worth its weight in gold.
